Bad Cropping
It said "bad cropping" for this. Do they mean there's too much empty space on the ground?

Dead space on the right but I'd be more concerned with some unlevel issues unless that train is going downgrade...
|
Thanks... It's actually tilting back and forth since it's on a switch.

I'll agree with the fact that there's a little much dead space on the right and that the train is unlevel. It looks like the image needs to be rotated about 2 degrees CCW. Take a look at the following image and compare it with your original upload.
http://www.cmherndon.com/cpr9018.jpg With this locomotive being some unusual subject matter, going back in with Photoshop and tilting the image counter-clockwise as well as cropping out the space to the right should help it. |
Thank you. I'm also 12 and a half years of age, so I'm still trying to improve my skills.

I think everyone who has or will ever hold a camera can say that for their entire lifetime...:-)
In due time, you'll get good (im just 18 ). ;-) |
To be 12.5....not bad
Just keep trying and be willing to take suggestions and you'll get the hang of it one of these days. |
12 1/2? Wow! You're doing mighty fine for that age. Much better than I ever did.

After undergoing a little change, it got accepted.

Hi Mecha_Moose
Congrats on getting your shot posted to the site. I hope you will put more up soon. I was 10 years old when I started taking rail photos, and I can say that not a single one would be accepted here or anywhere for that matter. I do have 2 that were taken when I was 12, way way back in the day. http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=44658 http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=48289 Only advice I can pass on is this: Take as many shots as possible and as often as you can. I do like your shot of the Iowa Interstate JP9. http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=74022 Good Luck MOJAX |
I also like the one that I took of the SOO SD60, since it's a big contrast between the bright red paint and the snow.
