Maintenance of Way Equipment on a Cloudy Day
 

I know with RP, cloudy day shots usually only get in if they depict something a little more uncommon or have more of an artistic hook. Yesterday afternoon in Trenton, I came across two pieces of Amtrak maintenance of way equipment that are not frequently within public view and that do not appear to be featured extensively, if at all, among the Amtrak equipment in within the database.

Given that consideration, are any of these shots that might past muster in the eyes of the screeners (with some possible additional fine tuning)? Or is the location/composition simply too "ordinary" to be worth submitting?

I think the third one, with the highrail truck bracketed by two trains is interesting. If I were riding in the highrail truck I might even consider it dramatic. But the engine on the right seems to have some image quality issues that need to be corrected. As to whether RP will like it I have no clue.

I think the fourth one also has some potential. I think the cropping so you don't show the gray sky helps reduce the "cloudy" look.

We know the screeners and viewing audience love wrecks, but MofW gets a lukewarm reception at best.
The 3rd and 4th have a chance, but rejections wouldn't surprise me.
