Color Cast

I would like your help about color cast in this photo:

wich color(s) should be corrected ? (if there is a possibility of correction)

Looks fine on my screen. Maybe the screener wants it a bit warmer?

You can always try taking the Color Cast Dropper (in PSE) or the Color Temperature Dropper (in Lightroom) and touching something that should be gray, black or white, just to see what that does, and whether or not you think it looks better. On my display, the image looks a tad bright, which is a look I used to like. Lately, I've been trying to tone mine down a bit.

My screen is a tad bright as well. I'd warm it (darken) up a bit as miningcamper1 suggested.

The sky looks turquoise on my color calibrated monitor. Too much and too bright.

Unfortunatelly, even making all corrections (warming colors, contrast, sky colors, brightness, etc) it was rejected again.

I think the problem is the paint scheme on the loco. No way to be accepted.

Looks like the 2nd rejection is off quite a bit more than the first one. Now that I'm home on my money making monitor looking at it, there's a slight turquoise cast on the first one, but more pronounced on the 2nd one. Maybe you went the wrong way? Wouldn't hurt to darken it up a bit too on both.

You could probably get away with a lasso of just the sky and color shift it, then darken the shot overall.

Loyd, this tip was amazing. Thank you very much. I use the lasso tool in the sky and in the grass, and it really changed the overall image appearance!

Absolutely true ! I change the color of the sky to look more natural... Thanks for the tip!

Another great tip from miningcamper1. The image had an overall "blue cast" that I have corrected by adjutisting the yellow levels. Thank you very much !

The light of 5:00 pm is not the best one for this kind of photo, I think. But thanks to the precise tips from all of you, the image get accepted.

Joining in a bit late but I'll add "auto-whatever" sometimes makes for the perfect second set of "eyes".

When you are done, or during your processing, click on "Auto Tone" or "Auto Contrast" or "Auto Color" and voila! And you swore the image didn't have a green cast before!

Mitch I find Auto tone useful, usually backing owith fade. Auto Contrast doesn't seem to do much, Auto Color seem to give a green tint? but try to see.
