Inconsitencies
1 Attachment(s)
Dear all,
I have just met a weird inconsistency so I am seeking your views about it. Accepted (and successful): https://www.railpictures.net/photo/747721/ Rejected: https://www.railpictures.net/viewrej...69&key=6644099 Both pictures were shot at about the same hour on the same day at the same place. Both share the same historical value as everything in these pictures is now gone: the engines, the cars behind them, and the right of way (track replaced by a road). Both are rare documents of never seen before consists in the RPN database, A bit more homogeneity and consistency among RPN screeners would do good. Anyone can explain? Thanks! Jean-Marc |
I have no explanation, but to be honest, I like the rejected image better than the accepted one!

No idea why they were treated differently. |
Hello Jean-Marc,
hope you resubmit the photo. It's rare stuff, especially as both photos show the different side view of locomotives with Buchli drivetrain. br Micha |

This is precisely what I thought: this is rare stuff of historic value. But the screeners thought otherwise. |
I just found this: https://www.railpictures.net/photo/748810/.
It is a nice picture It is rare historic stuff It is backlit It was accepted It is American... |
Jean-Marc,
How close together did you submit both pics? Normally pics this similar, especially at first glance, get the "similar as previous" rejection. The accepted shot has a bit of blur on the front of the loco where as the rejected pic does not. The wrong pic got accepted in that respect. The rejected pic is RP worthy. Try again after this post is forgotten about or maybe submit it as a color pic....JMHO |
