Long train with hopper cars.
Hi all,
Afriend from WI sent me this video.i really liked it and wanna to show it here.SD70MACs are really avery powerful units :) . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RYcJUoT6oyE |
Cool video! Those unit coal trains always amaze me!
Here in the NW we get insanly long trains from central Canada full of epoxy pellets. Its a unit train of 2-bay hoppers, gray, and about 150 cars long. I think the company is Cantanopex. Maybe devights or someone else can help me on that one. |
Mike, the company is actually Canpotex. They're a shipping company that has deals w/ major potash producers in Canada. The cars in question (which look awesome all strung together) are likely headed to ports in either Seattle or somewhere else along the coast for export to China as potash is a major component in fertalizer.
So, it's potash not epoxy. |

Well, in my defense it does say "contains epoxy pellets" on the side of the hoppers. Thanks for clearing that up for me gents!
