No snow pictures yet?

I haven't seen the annual barrage of Train and snow pictures yet?

Usually around this time all the pictures have that cold white stuff on the ground.

Am I looking too early?

Maybe al gore was right :):)

I'm a TV guy, Dennis... unless we can piggyback on someone else's shoot... or are actually shooting in Winnipeg or Calgary, no snow... not in the budget.

No, you're late -- I got my first snow shots more than a month ago.

For me... the area that normally has tremendous amount of snow... this is one year ago...

[photoid=263555]

...compare... this is the most snow we've had all year this year...

I've got one so far...just haven't submitted it. I'm sure once January rolls around and we start getting some serious snow here in Michigan, I'll get some more. This has been one of the driest Decembers in quite a few years. Bah!

ottergoose 12-19-2009 05:14 AM

You're not sick of snow plow shots from Iowa yet? Good! I've got a few more to upload over the next few days :-)

The midwest has only had snow for about 10 days so far this year.

Chase55671 12-19-2009 06:37 AM

We had a decent snowfall a couple weeks ago dumping 3" to 4" in some areas..

It's snowing pretty hard here tonight. They're predicting 6" to 10".

Wait! You should have some *fresh* snow this weekend in the NE!

Till then, here's what I had to date:

I am sick of the ones I shot, Ready to get NEW ones!:D I will say a normal winter is good for 3 good storms, If we are lucky it wont all melt before the next one.

I've been too busy, but here's my first snow shot from a while back. The beginning of October is where it was at!

Not flakes, but cold and snow on the ground.

troy12n 12-19-2009 07:31 PM

No such thing as snow where I live

ottergoose 12-19-2009 07:35 PM

So far I give this winter....

... two thumbs up!

No snow pictures yet, eh? I guess I must be hallucinating when I see shots like these...
[photoid=306760]
[photoid=306793]
[photoid=306908]
...plus all the other excellent ones like those shown in previous threads. Okay, I've had my fill of snow for one year already, c'mon Spring!

I give it one big finger. The 1/2 inch of white dust we have had so far is really getting annoying. Winter/snow is my favorite element to shoot in. Guess I need to travel SOUTH to get some snow.

Darryl Rule 12-20-2009 01:38 AM

Got a few so far:

From October in the Poconos:

And then one from the start of the Blizzard of 2009 this morning:

More to come tomorrow after I get up!

Darryl

Freericks 12-20-2009 01:59 AM

We might get some... out chasing the BNSF Christmas train today, I noted it got down to 75 degrees at one point.

TheRoadForeman 12-20-2009 02:14 AM

Apparently the OP has not visited this site since August! BTW, impressive shots guys!

MNJRR 12-20-2009 04:18 AM

Snow shots, well its snowing like crazy outside right now and all over the eastern coast. I'd rather not travel an hour to sit around waiting on CSX to show up so all i'm stuck with is metro north... Maybe i'll come up with something over the next few days.
