Bad Cropping Advice

I'm not too sure how to crop this one. Would less sky be the trick? Thanks in advance.

Tighten up every side but the bottom. Less sky, get rid of the fence, and take some off the right.

Is that an operating railroad?

It is. If I understand correctly, the Youngstown & Southeastern is a subsidiary of the Indiana Boxcar Company. It operates approximately 35 miles of former Youngstown and Southern trackage between Youngstown, OH and Darlington, PA. The line is actually owned by the Columbiana County Port Authority. It may not last too much longer though, news reports state that it's not profitable and the right of way could be sold, to put in a pipeline I believe.

It's definitely a smaller outfit. I was surprised how long it took them to rerail the cars and fix the rail, considering it was half blocking the road to the NS yard there! I did take a few pictures, but it was at dusk and they'll never make it on here.
