Unlevel Horizon - Wide Angle Lens

I need other sets of eyes for this one. Obviously, there's a lot of curvature due to using a wide-angle lens, but is there an obvious tilt?

IMO, I don't think that you have enough curvature to warrant it as a wide angle photo. With that said, I have noticed the screeners cracking down on not correcting perspective issues with an unlevel rejection in the last year or 2.

Cool photo. Keep working at it!

Agreed. Start with fixing that wide angle distortion! :D

I worked out the distortion, but I'm being hit for two different things:

Sharpening isn't an issue, but I'm not sure about the exposure. I don't want to lose the detail in the building.

Thanks for the help so far. :)

May I suggest doing something like this, and then give it a try.

I like what you did, Chris. Exactly what did you change?

IHapsias 04-05-2011 03:14 PM

Chris hit it on the head. I was going to say its underexposed due to lack of detail on the steam engine. I like what he did

In the end, I sharpened the image and reduced the contrast. Thanks for the help, everyone!
