G&O #2250 On the Move

Two sources said they saw the Knoxville Locomotive Works #2250 east out of Asheville today. It came in on 134 and left out on M34. That's the KLW low emission rebuild. No idea where it is going.

Unconfirmed -- might be heading to Aiken, SC.

I've heard that, as well. Possibly to some sort of diesel expo to be held there?

Yeah, that's what they're saying now. The company that made the prime mover either has a facility there or is biulding one. It apparently came through Columbia either yesterday or today.

The 2250 was in Aiken, SC. The MTU plant is located in Aiken so we sent the locomotive down there so MTU employees could see the locomotive. It was a fun trip! :-D

There's a new night picture of the 2250 that ya'll might enjoy!

That's a really nice photo. The flash at the rear does a really good job illuminating the detail of the radiator section, as well. I also like that there is a bit of twilight sky visible, giving this photo all around appeal.
