Size (Dimensions) Rejection Help
This is a new one for me. It says one of the sides is too narrow? I cropped it to 800px x 1000px. If I cut off more at the top or bottom it will change the ratio but I'm afraid it will make the edge uncomfortably close to the loco and the men working. If I make the vertical wider it will just either end up with more dead space to the right or more of the hood from the locomotive, which I think would take some of the emphasis away from the work being performed, which was the point of my shot. What does the forum think?
http://www.railpictures.net/viewreje...key=1069445462 At least a new rejection means a new learning experience. Thanks |
I don't know, but I usually try and crop 600 x 800 pixels if I'm going vertical. The min, according to the Detailed Photo Submission Guide, is 750 pixels high...

I presume the 1000 is too tall; I have shots on RP at 900 tall and 950 tall - I used to do the latter but I've switched over to 900, easier to see things on my monitors.

I believe that 750 X 1000 is the maximum for verticals (not sure why its not 1024 like landscapes), but I usually crop around 600 X 800 for my own verticals.
