The Rejected Photo Without a Reason
Last night I submitted this photograph and it got rejected but there was no reason given. I know that this is a going away shot and railpictures doesn't always take going away shots but since this is one of equipment that will be retired soon, I decided to submit it. Thanks for any input.

I think you have summed it up perfectly in your post. A going away caboose or traditional observation car would have a better chance than a cab car here.

[Too late to turn on the headlights in photoshop!]

I like it. Looks too tightly cropped, though. If you have any more frames that include more room on all sides it might have some potential, maybe brighten and make it "pop" a little.

On second viewing, it could be sharper.

I think there was another post where image was resubmitted and accepted but would not expect that here. At very least I'd think you could find a better location. Station to show location, signals, a curve to better show the cars, something to go with or a better view of the cars.

Thanks guys. I am just going to let it go and move on. In general, railpictures doesn't accept going away shots, unless if the train is being pushed by an engine or as indicated by Bob.
