Code Line Album

Hey everyone! I took a look at Danneman's image with prominent code line and decided to create an RP album. But the only other shots that came to mind to put in it were two of mine. Please give me suggestions for starting off my code line album.

I'd especially like to track down the one shot I am thinking of with tons and tons of code line glint.

I've added a few more; I did an RP search on "code line". But there are lots and it will take me some time; I'll do more from that search another day.

Well here are a few of mine that might fit the bill...

And then if none of the others: at least this one!

Are you the only one who can add photos since you started the album? I don't know anything about these albums or how they work.

MagnumForce 10-31-2012 05:44 AM

Yes, only he can add photos.

Why do you care, Jim? You hate anything pole and wire related anyway ;)

JRMDC 10-31-2012 06:00 AM

I'd prefer an ability for anyone to add to an album, with the owner having the ability to reject/delete, just as the comment section on individual shots now works. If that were possible then I'd also want to see the owner being able to close the album to additions by others.

If I were king, and if I had unlimited time and substantial IT knowledge...

Most of the code lines have been removed as CTC takes over [or I am getting better at avoiding them] but this shot definately has code line after CTC but before being removed and replaced by a new loop.

As much as I hate codeline, I think I have a few candidates. :p

I only have a few... they've ripped most codelines out in these parts.

I obviously don't get out enough, as I have only one shot with code line in my admittedly limited portfolio. However, it only got on through appeal as the code line was initially considered "foreground clutter".

Everyone is free, of course, to somehow go against their own self interest and point out a few shots taken by others. :)

One suggestion, please: the code line/poles should be an important part of the composition. Certainly if I have to hunt for it (I'm talkin' to you, Jon! :) But you are not the only one.), then it isn't what I am looking for.

I should have titled this thread a gallery, oh well!

Here's one of Judy's you took notice of:

One of mine from the same location:
[photoid=385397]

...and another of mine. While they are actually power transmission lines as opposed to codelines, you semmed to like it too! :)

Some by Eric Portelli, a.k.a. Trevor Wiley that I recall as being worthy of notice.

Washago's either a good place or a bad place for wires of all kinds, depending on your perspective! Snow always helps:

I think this one fits the bill by Andrew Blaszczyk:

Not very many code lines in So. Cal. anymore.

Not a lot of code lines left in Southern California, with the exception of Tehachapi and certain places out in the Mojave.

Most places the poles have been removed, or as in the case of the Cajon Pass, burned to the ground.

[photoid=394696]

Two showing code lines in the Mojave that were not accepted.

I may shut down my album, the concept is already being done, my search prior to starting was inadequate:

I'm starting a collection of those. A non-broken one is tough to find around here, so when I spot one on the ground, I usually toss it in the trunk of my car.
