Different eyes = different rejections

This image has been dinged several times.

Starting with the first:

Color/Hue
http://www.railpictures.net/viewreje...11&key=9284631

Oversharpened - All I did was sharpen the number boards and reduce yellows slightly
http://www.railpictures.net/viewreje...00&key=1761184

Overexposed - All I did was remove number board sharpening
http://www.railpictures.net/viewreje...98&key=3323430

Overexposed/Undersharpened- Reduced brightness

What are your eyes seeing? Suggestion please because I can't seem to be able to please all the screeners all of the time.

There's a lot of exposure variance throughout the scene. The main issue on all 4 images to me is the blown out leaves above the train. If you shot raw and didn't completely nuke it, you can fix that and the last rejection is kinda close to where you need to be.

Loyd,

I have the RAW. I guess I will start over and watch the leaves above the train.

The sky looks weirdly grayish for a bright sun blue sky day.

From what I have seen of shots of the trench, and I have seen a bunch! great spot!, even the last one is off, color wise.

There's something funky going on in the sky in the overexposed rejection. Directly above the loco in that large opening are some odd spots. A little haloing going on around the trees, too.
