Composition/Balance
Had this rejected for composition/balance, anything I can do to improve the overall composition of the image ? I was contemplating adding more to the right and maybe to the bottom side of the frame and losing some off the left but what is your opinion about it ? Thanks.

Next time you shoot at that location, make the train more prominent. With this picture, it looks like the town is the main of the point of the picture and the town is kind of boring looking.

You could go vertical.
As is, the subject which is the train is just sooo far over to the right and the left has nothing to carry it's weight. /Mitch |

Not sure if you can fix it, like going later in the day, but that will kill the shot even if you have a better composition. |

As already written, I think the lighting kills this shot for RP even if you do have a later frame. Though I've been wrong more lately than right. |
Composition/Balance
This is an excellent photo, with lots to like, particularly the (railroad) curve at the right wrapping around the more rectangular structures at the left. It may not be "railroad" enough for RP; for that, you might try a vertical crop of only the right side...but that would be a different photo.

I redid two photos in photo shop to see what frame would fit best, one has the train a few frames closer but also more closer to the center and another being a vertical.

I'd say reshoot and let the train get further into that curve on a sun behind your right shoulder day.
