Too Bland? Or do I knock some off?

I think it's pretty much in the middle, what would you all like to see with it?

It's not a color issue, at the core. The histogram is your friend ...

Odd, it was originally hit for over exposed, as you're hinting at J. But I DID knock down the exposure quite a bit with curves and it basically looks black on my screen. Like I put in the comments to the screener, I hope I don't have to recalibrate this damn screen again, what a pain. Don't know what's going on. But my accepted tele shot looks just fine, as I'm looking at it on another monitor and the one I'm on now, they look alike. Just this shot....who knows, haha. Only Ben Sutton....only ben.

Alright, I think it's time for these tired eyes to go to bed, haha. I'm no expert but I shouldn't be having this much trouble for a fairly easy shot to get it. Catch yinz on the flipside.

You already have a shot of the same train from the same spot on the database, maybe let this one go? Or did you upload that one after having this one rejected?

Actually, I would have gone just for this one, the other version has been seen a million times.

EDIT: from your recent post I see that you are trying to upload both. Not my cup of tea.

Eh, I like the different wide perspective on it where you can see the whole curve. I know it's been a dozen times, but not by me ;-) And yes, I did upload it after having this one rejected. Alright...now I'm really going to bed. It's X-Mas time for Big Brown.

The train that you chose does not show up well.

Perhaps one with more power and more surface area might look better?

I like the look, but the flats just get lost in the background.

I agree. It's just not a very good subject for the scene. Aside from that, the image looks like it needs more contrast. The duplicate layer/multiply trick in photoshop would work wonders on this shot.
