Attempted Glint
 
So, I thought I would try one of those Glint shots, I'm thinking the sun was not low enough...anybody care to comment??

I think you might be right, Bill. In saying that, I have never really had the eye for successful glint shots.

If your camera's clock is right, you took this a couple hours before sunset. Glint really doesn't start to happen until more like an hour, or less, before sunset (or after sunrise). The best glint is in the last 1/2 hour before sunset.

Glint lighting gets all yellow and golden. Your shot is just harsh back lighting. Wait a bit and try again. You got your angles right.

I second the previous comments... the shot is too early for a successful glint. It's more like a backlit shot with a blown-out sky at that point...
