Kevin, I guess if we are being really picky. Agree with your comment on the first photo though. But compared to some of what has been accepted here lately, with strange roster crops and really grainy...

I like both shots actually. I think the harsh reality is that the first shot is probably pretty accurate color wise, but we have become so used to pumping up the colors to get that vibrant effect...

The original did not have any of the jaggedness....
The original did not have any of the jaggedness. Resubmitted at 1600 pixels vs.1200 and that helped get it accepted. Not sure why the resize screwed it up that bad.

Hmmm, this is right out of the camera, just resized and cropped a little. I've never had to soften an image...... I resubmitted at a higher resolution which seems to have helped some.

Currently using an Epson V500 for scanning slides. Can anyone recommend a dedicated scanner? Pacific Image, Plustek, etc. Don't suggest a Nikon or Minolta... Looking to upgrade....
