If you are using Adobe Photoshop, then you already have what you need. Included with PS is a program called Adobe Gamma. You can use that to calibrate your monitor. It takes just a few minutes.

Dave, I think you are getting MegaPixels and Megabytes confused. Shooting on the highest quality .JPG setting, the file size of the photo is roughly 2.7 Megabytes (not MegaPixels).

The Nikon D70 gives you a lot more manual control of the Camera than the Digital Rebel does. I have been shooting with the D70 since last March and love it.
