That is the worst possible comparison you could possibly make, both of the shots you posted were sidelit at worst. Photos of 611 arn't rare, bad photos of 611 are extremely common.

I started with a Canon A80, a slow 4 MP early digital camera. I think I have 30 or so shots taken with it on RP. If you cant compose a photo then the best equipment in the world won't help.
