I appreciate the constructive criticism Lloyd, I thought about that after the fact, and had the wrong lens on the camera. Will just go back to the drawing board and try again

2013 was more of a dont care year for me in terms of railfanning, in fact I had periods of 3 or more months where I didnt even touch the camera, none the less I got some shots I have been wanting...

Unlevel where? if you use the signal bridge in the first shot and the radio tower in the second shot both are level. The train in the second shot is beginning to climb a short grade out of Canyon....

Are they seeing the exhaust as the unsharpened bit since the numberboards on the third unit are blurred?

I will admit. I am terrible at editing raw images, I dont understand the program that came with my camera. So if it is overexposed I probably messed up somewhere
