Nikon's ED is not the identifier of their equivalent to Canon's L lenses. Nikon simply does not an a line of lenses similar to Canon's L series. Nikon just has 'pro' glass (f/2.8 ) and slower glass...

All modern day passenger trains are boring. Passenger trains haven't been interesting since the 60s and even then I would still prefer the freight trains.

As long as you have the update including your camera, it should work just fine. It might not convert the RAW file very well though. CS3 does a terrible job on my stuff.

I'm not making fun of the guy who was wrongfully arrested. If he gets a decent lawyer he should come out of it just fine. I do think Amtrak is incredibly boring though.

What I mean is that engine is hideous. I won't shoot something that ugly- the photo will look bad regardless of scenery.

Depends on the focal length. The wider stuff Nikon kills Canon but the longer stuff Canon is as good or slightly better. 95% of the users won't notice the difference though.

I'd bet that Velvia 50 is still better than a lot of the options out there, but being 50 speed sure isn't an advantage when you're shooting moving objects.

Just get a decent firewall and get a script blocker for your browser. I don't even use any anti-virus software but I do check the task manager regularly to make sure no processes are running that...

I've had the same PC for nearly 4 years and I haven't had a single virus. You just have to control what comes into your computer it's very easy to do without spending a single cent on software.
