I guess that's my point. Hard to believe that a current shot of the deadline gets that many views. Newsworthy, yes, the pinnacle of RR photos, no.

Kevin, I know he links and that is irritating, but composition on this is horrible IMHO. More trees than train. Everything of interest is in the lower RH 1/3 of the picture......

The rails in the Blasiak image are more of what I would expect to see in a sunrise. The rails on the Flickr image look like someone doused them with gas and lit them on fire.
