Actually, the date, the place name (or "between point A and point B"), and the direction of travel will usually satisfy my curiosity. More info can be good reading (or not).

However Explore works, it was changed dramatically fairly recently. It had become a long page of mediocre photos. The low point was 13(!) photos of garbage trucks in the garbage truck parking lot....

If a screener simply doesn't find a photo appealing, he needs a "reason" to reject it. So "cloudy" or "insufficient light on nose" or "backlit" come in handy for them! :evil:

I use three editors (also IrfanView and SnagIt), but I usually try Windows 8.1 first. These three usually do almost anything that I want, so I've never tried Photoshop.

Sounds like a non-rail guy I follow on Flickr. Endless supply of the same sunset. And he always gets over 50 faves. But he does post an outstanding shot occasionally.
