Thank you for your reply JRMDC. After searching through the software I found an auto contrast and it seemed to help a bit, this is before any other editing with exposure and sharpening.

I think if you put the train between the trees to the right, with some of the cemetery still showing it would be better centered and cropped. There seems to be a lot of deadspace to the left, I like...

Bad Contrast got me stumped

Lately I have been getting numerous rejections for bad contrast, I think by this they mean the colors are somewhat neutral and dull, with the photo what should I do to correct it? bring out the sky...

I like this shot a lot. Maybe they are not liking the shadow cast over the boxcar from the front of the engine but, I myself is only starting to understand night photography so I guess I'll pay close...

Like a lot of railfans around Chicago, I myself chased 4449 all over the place. I've sent one photo in and it was rejected for high sun but it was one of those angle of the sun is low but straight...

I just got this rejected for overexposure...I did lower the exposure a little in post proccessing...any ideas how to correct this and(or) tips for shooting this same shot in the future?

Question Backlit Questions?

Every now an then I have gotten rejections for "Backlit". I have always wondered what that is. Is it where the light is unbalenced or one side it lit and the other not? Thanks Eric Zak :-)
