I didn't get to see many trains today,but all except 1 had acceptable lashups(i.e. Amtrak/same ol' same ol' P42)

A 'catfish" is a term ost railfans give NS's C40-9W's.If you look at their nose,it is wide,and the stripes resemble the "whiskers" on a catficf.Also,the NS system is a sea.NS has just under 1,000...

Heads up for 338 tomorrow night/Tuesday morning

I saw NS-337(Linwood,N.C. to Charleston,S.C.) go south today with this lashup:
CR SD40-2 #3883 ,
CEFX SD40-2 #7189(ex-BN/still cascade green),
NS C40-9W.

NS-338 will have this power tomorrow...

NS-119 was by Kannapolis,N.C. around 7:00 p.m. this evening with these 4 units:

BNSF SD40-2(heritage 1),
ATSF SD40-2(bluebonnet),
UP SD40-2,
HLCX SD40-2(solid navy blue).

I know what you mean,about the only thing "foreign"thayt ever runs through here is UP SD70M's.But,you have to look at this way:I would rather see a UP SD70M or a BNSF C44-9W than a NS "trash 9...
