DM&IR units still stay here in Minnesota for 99.9% of their life... CN assumed opperations, but still uses the DM&IR units. Ocassionaly, CN units can be seen pulling ore trains, however.

7 in roughly 30 minutes, and what's even weirder is that the track is single-track CTC. That must've been a challenge to get all the trains through. The railroad was CP.

The lead unit may be common, but the 2nd and 3rd units are very rare CEFX. There's only 40 CEFX SD9043's, and there are 60 CEFX AC4400's. To top it off, they could be anywhere in the U.S. or Canada.

Yes, there is. There's CP in Theif River Falls, Minnesota. That's only like 35 miles from your home. CP also goes 50 miles south of Fargo, and Northwest up to Saskatchewan, where it joins up.

If you mean TOFC's that are truck trailers...
If you mean TOFC's that are truck trailers instead of containers, I think there are holes in the wells on intermodal cars, so they can't put trailers in there.
