On the tighter one, crop more, get rid of the barn on the left edge and crop the sky. That barn is pulling the eye leftwards, making the shot feel wider than it is, with important elements at extreme left and right and then much less down the middle. Removing the barn puts emphasis on the train - everything else is rather blah anyway, but then I don't much care for the setup they have on that side of the tracks - and as a bonus puts the train farther off the edge in relative terms.
