Thanks Chase and Walter! It's nice to know so many people in my age group interested in railroad photography. If it weren't for this and other websites I'd probably assume I was the only one.

That should help significantly improve the quality of your "finished product." IMHO, Elements is all you need to get started with post processing (and it's about $600 cheaper than CS). Just remember that no matter how skilled you are at editing, a bad photo is still a bad photo. Although I've had Photoshop rescue some of my photos that never would have seen the light of day otherwise, always keep in mind that it's best to get it right the first time.
