Default On my back

I decided to have a little fun in Deshler and lie down in the street to take this: http://www.railpictures.net/viewreje...&key=537844171

I highly doubted it would get in but thought I would throw it into the hopper for kicks.

Has anybody else done something similar with better results?

Well done! I've only thought about stuff like this, I've never gotten around to it.

My one suggestion would be simply to not go for so much of the car, but rather just part of the truck and undercarriage, and make the train bigger in the frame.

Bingo! I tried something similar with a passing CSX train and the NS OCS last year in Georgia using the method J described, but it was a hopper train and didn't come out too well.

I tried a shot like a few years ago... same rejection as yours.

Not mine, but I remembered it right off after I saw your shot. Just a matter of finding it.
