Default Railfan gods smile upon Central Kentucky 2-22-04

The railfan gods blessed "The Hillbilly Gang" with perfect weather, good power, and minimal catfish today. Here are the highlights from today's trip.

http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=51075 - M67 passes through Harrodsburg with an old flamethrower leading

http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=51068 - 215 about to pass under the Danville Bypass with a Warbonnet leader.

http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=51076 - 375 with a straight UP consist at Harrodsburg. UP engines are quite common on the Central Division as either leaders or trailers, but a straight consist is rare.

http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=51077 - 375 going in the hole at Waddy for two eastbounds.

http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=51071 - The first eastbound at Waddy is 23G and it's seen here charging the hill with a lot of head end power. Only first three engines are on line though.

http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=51078 - Catch of the day! 24N passes by the former site of the Lawrenceburg depot with two SD40-2's of N&W heritage (6127 & 6113).
