Default Color issue

Hello fellow photogs. I have a color issue with an image, except in this case I have not altered the hue from the original pic - only leveled and cropped the original pic from the camera.

My question is......... how does one adjust for a color issue when the image is depicting exactly what the camera 'saw'?

Hope that makes sense.

Default Color Issue

Strikes me that reducing the exposure slightly (darkening) might produce a better result. Toning down the highlights might help, also. Re "what the camera sees", the color metering is influenced by the scene being photographed, and may or may not reflect 'reality'. If you shot this in Raw format, try adjusting the white balance, also.

Maybe they think the clouds are too blue. Try a bit of warming, perhaps?

I don't think your premise is true. If you are shooting raw, for example, then you have to make a judgment of what white balance/temperature/etc to choose. The camera may have recorded its take on it, and that may drive what pops up in the raw converter if you choose "As Shot", but that is just an estimate, it may be a very good one ,but it is not authoritative. If you want to know exactly what was seen, you need to use a gray card.
