Default Trying to get a good MU pic

Hey guys, I'm Billy and I have been putting pictures up on this site for a while, but I still consider myself a newbie with getting these pictures in here.

So I have been trying to get a good Septa Silverliner pic in for the last few weeks now, I think this one so far is my best candidate but it got rejected for bad cropping, I'm thinking of some on the left side of the photo but would like to get some input before submitting it again.

Thanks!

Not a bad shot, Billy, but do you have a frame or two earlier with the nose of the train before the structure? Using that vertical structure as a frame on the right side of the picture would look much more aesthetically pleasing to the eye.

Two things that hit me.
1. The side of the train is too dark, needs processing.
2. Stand further back and include more of the catenary structure. I think the screener is objecting to the pole and how it's cut off. It's cut off too much or not enough. Or maybe the screener objects to how the front car is positioned to the pole and that the pole is growing out of it.
You got most things right and you are very close. Keep at it.

So I found a slightly earlier shot, I think it may be a bit better, has a less distracting catenary and I also lightened up the side a bit.

Thanks!

Please post the link to your rejected photo so we can see what the screener's see.

I thought it was bad taste to post the rejected one since it disappears in a few days, sorry!

Billy, for the life of me I can't see whey this was rejected. Appeal.

It seems unnecessarily tight to me, on all sides but especially at the top, where the point where the pantograph touches the wire is a bit of a focal point - perhaps only to my way of viewing! - and that is much too close to the edge.

J, you are probably right. It is a common angle so extra picky are they the screeners...

I still think the original composition would be perfect with the nose of the train about a half a car length back.
