http://www.railpictures.net/viewreje...95&key=3721347
This got rejected for bad cropping, would it work better if I cropped it like this?

Bitter, sarcastic man ...

but the shot doesn't work for me, the path is dominant and takes the eye away from everything else and leaves it in a hole of nothing

And those units are uglier than CF7's.

J, you're too young to be losing control of your eyes like that.

Nikos, maybe the bad crop is due to cutting the house off. Do you have a wider shot showing more of the house and tree? I like where you're going with this, but it feels incomplete with the tree and house cut off.

I think it is cool with those old locos pulling an intermodal. The only thing better would be if it was a steam loco!

Keep trying and good luck with finding the magic crop Here is my suggestion.

Old engines pulling intermodals are popular with the RP audience. Granted your engines aren't as attractive

I have had conversations with GC crews in Macon when there in the past, and every one of them say they hate those things. They always ask "why are you taking pictures of these old things", and laugh when I tell them why.

Consequently the railroad was bought by G&W recently, so dont expect these to be around much longer. They had a GP40-2 and a slug there for a while, but it broke down and they sent it back.

I actually do, but I felt that leaving more of the house made for a big spot of white that drew your eye to that edge, I figured THAT would get me a bad cropping and overexposed rejection so I cropped it out. attached the original resized. Not sure if there would have been a way to get the whole house + tree in.

Highhood U23B's ugly? Sure look alot nicer than another swoosh GEVO. Train crews complain about engines no matter what, they are well maintained and still run fine for the 40 year old locos they are. GC has been owned by G&W for 9 years now, never has been a GP40, maybe its the GP9 they currently have you are thinking about....now if you want to talk about ugly....
