Default Smoke

During my trip to CA I went to Yosemite, but alot of my pictures are messed up due the wild fires that were going on.

Is there anything I can do in photoshop or light room to reduce the appearance of the smoke?

If it's haze, try a technique called Local Contrast Enhancement.

Use the Unsharp Mask (USM) of Photoshop with a setting somewhere in these ranges: 10-20%/60-80/0. This technique helps to make photos pop, especially if they're bothered by haze...
