Default Help with Pictures

I have just purchased my cam and have been trying to get some pictures posted, but keep getting rejected for insufficient lighting. Help?

Thanks

Nice to see the old PACMAN style CPR units still running around.

Looks like the sun was off to your right when you were taking this photo. The term backlit has come to mean many things on Railpics, in this particular case, the back of the engine is lit perfectly. That means the nose of the engine doesn't have any direct sunlight on it, hence the "insufficient nose lighting".

As railfans we all know we work with what we've got, but sometimes it's not enough for RP. To that end, this photo most likely isn't getting in, if it was some sort of rare paint scheme or something like that, only then maybe.

The key to getting started is to have the sun directly at your back and the train in front of you. That will solve your lighting problems in this regard.

Try to keep in mind that not every shot you take will get into this database regardless of how good it looks to you, and you'll go far.
