Getting back to photography...

Sometimes a picture just needs a bit of rotation (had to use one of Bill's shots!):

Sometimes, no matter what you do, it is so overexposed that it might as well be a whiteout:

And other times, there is a loss of detail in the shadows:

Default Railfan disease

Railfan Disease is mainly caught early in life, it seldom inflects mature adults.
Image © Chris Lastovich
PhotoID: 174734
Photograph © Chris Lastovich

Symptoms include a fascination with all things to do with trains, some will even jump uncontrollable up and down on the spot.
Image © Michael Da Costa
PhotoID: 166296
Photograph © Michael Da Costa

Most however are just content to watch them go by.
Image © Alan John Crotty
PhotoID: 159516
Photograph © Alan John Crotty

Some even build small versions of the trains they love to get there fix, this keeps them of the streets and safe from misadventure.
Image © Bob Avery
PhotoID: 139335
Photograph © Bob Avery

Later on in life when all attempts of a cure have failed the suffer will gain employment with a railway company to get there fix, nine out of ten times this will be a locomotive drivers position.
Image © Mitch Goldman
PhotoID: 167807
Photograph © Mitch Goldman

One of the most bizarre symptoms to inflict a person suffering railfan disease is the sudden over whelming urge to migrate en mass with other suffers to a single point that seems to be chosen at random. This is by far the most dangerous point in the life cycle of the disease, suffers usually transverse the countryside at great speed with little regard for life and limb.
Image © Mitch Goldman
PhotoID: 182369
Photograph © Mitch Goldman

At which point they will stand in a line in the middle of no where for no apparent reason. To this day researchers have yet to find a reason for this behaviour.

Cheers All,

Christine.
