All right, I'll bite. It's a nice glint shot. The trucks of the train are obstructed, but to me such details are less important in a glint because glint shots are not about capturing detail. And the obstruction is part of an interesting bridge structure.

The only flaw I see is some sort of a bluish-white squiggle along the left edge. Also, I might have cropped a bit on the right edge to get rid of the light in the window, but it's not a big deal to me.

It's kinda obvious that parts of bridges are not obstructions.

In the shot linked in the first post on this thread, I think it's a col shot, but needs cropping on the sides just a bit.

Well, what I saw and was getting at is there is no nose light at all. The ditch and headlights dont even help! ive had shots rejected due to this, yet this gets in!

That's a glint shot. It doesn't need nose light. I have no doubt that if you actually showed us the shot you had rejected, it would not be anything like the one you linked to. Real People Learn that just beause a shot you think is similiar to yours is accepted, your own shot might not be accepted at all.

Joe, I would put it even more strongly. It's a glint shot, so not only does it not need nose light, it CAN'T HAVE nose light! You get a glint by having the train between the camera and the source of light and having the light reflect off the train into the camera, so if the nose is facing the camera, it must necessarily be dark.

I don't thinks so. He would have said "It's not my fault that I broke my arm the day before and couldn't level the camera and it's not my fault that I'm too lazy to try to fix the pictures in photoshop. That's it. Im never coming back!!!!" Or at least thats what I would have expected from him.
