Default A unique Oakway?

I caught this sucker yesterday with a unique (to me) nose herald:

Anyone else ever see one like this (all I've ever seen have been the GM or faded GM)? What's the story with the EMD herald, assuming it used to be common. Thanks for any info!

I remember these from back in the day... the '80s. I would guess that GM made a bigger stake in EMD and changed their herald. Looking through photos here, looks like a rare sight these days.

I saw that unit back in 2003, I noticed it had the EMD logo on it too. You'll notice that the cab is a little bit different than the rest of the Oakway SD60's. The cab has more blue than the usual SD60's

That and the back end is painted blue versus white...

It is changed since EMD is no longer part of the General Motors Corporation. They recently sold it off to trim costs and concentrate on reinvigorating their automotive branch.

*EDIT*

I don't think that's why this one has EMD on the nose as it looks to have been there for a little while and the selloff has been fairly recent
