Default New Member HELLO

Hi all,

I have just recently joined the forum and have submitted some photo's. Sorry to say my photo's have been rejected.

I have been a rail fan since I was a kid. (not the first time that's been heard I'm sure) Growing up across the street from The C&NW in Chicago and later Des Plaines, IL. I was a huge C&NW fan.

Recently with the birth of my first child, I began railfanning again. After much encouragement from friends I joined and submitted some of my better pics.

Though the first were rejected for "too dark" I can except that. The other one puzzles me. It was rejected as "bad angle". Looked great to me.

Thoughts from more seasoned members on what I need to improve upon?

Anyway, looking forward to my first accepted photo.

Thanks, Mark

Looks to me that you just need to level this one with about a 1.5 degree CCW rotation. When you resave it, make sure you're saving at a higher quality and don't sharpen it too much...

Default welcome

I agree with CM other than some minor PhotoShop work this photo should be accepted next time around. BTW we all or the majority get rejection notices from time to time, so you aren't alone.
Use the advice from the screeners the forums and check out the site often to see and get new ideas. There's some great photographers on this site Welcome aboard.
BTW During one week and half period I received 11 rejections, we all have something to learn here...Good hunting..Ken

Thank you all for your warm welcome and advise. I guess I should play around a bit more with the photo's before submitting.
