Default Unable to Appeal

Hi,

A little while ago I unexpectedly lost my privilage to appeal rejected photos. I did not often appeal images, but when I did, it was for a good reason. I emailed RP but never got an email back. Anyone know how long it usually takes to get this privilage back? Its been about half a year now.

Thanks,

Bill

Good luck. That's a perdicament. I don't know that anyone has ever got their appeal privileges back after loosing them, but I think it did happen once. Wait a while and ask very nicely and hopefully get a response. In the mean time, (this is a general statement I would tell anybody in this situation, I forget for a second what your last name is and I have no body of work in mind when I say this) work on improving your photography. If you have improvement to show, they might be quicker to return those privileges.

I'm sure that was why they took your privileges away.

Sometimes it is best to just fix them if you want it in and you just mite not be seeing what they are? If you get to the point your getting 75% + in they may give it back, But if your less then that you wont be getting it back as your just going to bug them.

Bill,

All I can tell you is that Site Editor, Chris Kilroy remembered that photo, because he posted about it perhaps a year ago. That's how folks here were able to see it.

The best advice I can give to new folks is not to appeal photos....period. When you're new here, you just won't see the issues like you will after you've been here a year or more. When new folks are not able to appropriately judge their own pictures, their reaction to rejections is often to just hit the appeal button. The Admins quickly get tired of appeals on pictures that often aren't even close. I have several friends who have lost the ability to appeal and I'm not aware of anyone who has ever gotten it back.

I'm pretty careful about what I appeal. In most cases, I either fix the photo in some way, or can it.
