Is RP.Net now a wholly-owned subsidiary of Norfolk Southern? If not, you could fool me.

They sure have a huge presence here. Will merger talks be taking place soon?

True.....assuming that a majority of the audience really wants to see NS Heritage Locomotives 24-7-365.
My (semi-) sarcastic remark was a commentary on the fact that the RP Home Page has been saturated for several weeks now with NS Heritage shots......sometimes to the point where there was nothing else in any of the Top Shots categories. My advice to non-NS contributors would be to hold anything you have that you think might be popular here....because it will just be washed away in the flood of rosters coming out of Chattanooga and Altoona.

So how many traffic managers, facing a choice between NS and some other brand or mode of transportation, view RP?
Actually, I'm sure there are some. And really, if only one decision is tipped, that might cover the entire cost of the campaign.

There is no such thing as bad publicity. Looks like you came around to my point yourself before you finished typing.

Looks to me like the bridge shot of the Interstate unit has been corrected.

There seems to be a flux of new photographers submitting on this site, or am I imagining things? It also seems to me that RP has become the most popular train photo site.

When you re-upload a shot, it always keeps the same image number. Nothing changes except the image itself. Views, favorites, etc. are all unaffected.

Tom and Mike Danneman, and Drew Halverson all seem to have started submitting shots - which is fantastic; they're all supremely talented photographers.

I second that. RP really needs contributors like these. Their flickr accounts have some of the most unbelievable photos I've ever seen.
Hopefully RP will keep them here, unlike familymansystem, John Ryan, David Langdon, Nick Benson, etc. (I don't know why these guys have stopped submitting, but the site seems so much better with photos from photographers like this).

Folks,
I think the useful life of this forum post has been reached. I'm not sure much else productive can come by keeping this topic open.
