Well, you got it in finally and I actually hate to say it but I think it looks better this way. I never really noticed that light standard distant right before but it must have been playing on my subconscious, and now that it's plumb the whole thing looks more "right" (for lack of a better term) even though it was probably just a matter of perspective distortion in your previous attempts.

Yes, I think you're right. I was worried it was a bit high sun from this angle, but the screener has spoken!

Spend 70 bucks and get a real copy of Elements. You will be very happy.
Not sure why you were so set on this image. I am not one to shoot any train that is sitting still, let alone a static one in such an unphotogenic location.

I fail to see how what you do correlates to what any of us would do?

I personally have had a problem with those trying to tell us to turn railroad photography into an "art form." It's fine for them to do so, I welcome it in fact, but what I do have a problem with is that the practitioners of the more "arty" shots, I have found, tend to look down their nose's at others who are shooting more "mundane" shots.
Railroad photography is what you make of it, but one way is not "better" than another, IMHO. Unless you have a pole right thought the nose of the engine! -SG
