Color (hue) again

This was hit. I also got an angle (going away) hit also.

Ok, so maybe it is not "artsy" enough, but as before, no screener comment as to what color is causing the hue issue.

What color is causing the hue problem in your opinion?

I would say the going away angle is fatal, for RP. And in general, which means to my tastes.

There is no glint. There appears to be an out-of-frame glow - potential for a going-toward-the-sun shot but not in this one. The light is completely flat, no interesting tonal variation. The composition is uninteresting - the first focal point for my eye is the dark end of a container. I just don't see the point of this one, sorry to be harsh.

It's too white.

The contrast is very poor overall, and there's little to no coloration in the scene.

Curiously unsaturated.
Was there smoke from wildfires in the area?
Reminds me of my Colorado trip that was smoke-plagued from controlled burns.

I wasn't expecting for it to be accepted, however when the original rejection was horizon un-level only, I figured that was the worse issue in the screeners eyes and it gave me a glint of hope. Future rejection(s), Angle (going away) especially and color (hue) kinda sealed the deal on this image.

No problems, the less artsy RP bread-and-butter wedgie got accepted.

To me, it's begging to be turned into a high contrast black and white shot Carl. You have the basics for that in the shot, just needs some PSC (Photo Shopping Care).

Carl,

I like it. I don't know how much of a color palette you had to work with, but as Loyd says, it would work as a B/W. Even better, boost the contrast and keep the sepia tones.

The photo also has a very strong abstract quality to it. I'd crop severely top and bottom and maybe from the right to enhance the strong geometric shapes. Woops, maybe I'm getting too artsy here ... but hell, try it.

Y'can't win, but a gold star for effort ... Contrast would be considered too strong for 'normal' b/w shot, but it looks OK here.

I'm guessing it's just not dramatic enough for them, Carl.

I have one going-away glint shot on RP, and I believe they accepted it because of the sun angle and quality of glint and color.

Maybe they want something more to that degree when accepting glint shots?
