Default I figured, but...

I was fairly sure I would get this, but is there anything here to pursue further, or should I just save it as a personal collection photo?

http://www.railpictures.net/viewreje...94&key=3862185

Thanks in advanced.

Were it my site I would have actually accepted both of them... although on the icicle one I would have demanded that you name it signal with a runny nose.

I think if you could have included the front and the whole truck, that would have been accepted, it is unique and people would click on it.

I'd accept Kyle's in a heartbeat! Appeal.

Next time, I'd consider taking a step to the right, putting greater emphasis on the pair of lights facing you and less emphasis/space on those facing away.

I am going to, J, but if it is rejected, would a tighter crop maybe look better, show more emphasis on the icicles from the forward lights and shrouds? This is a tough spot to night shoot, there is a light on a signal bungalow that was the light source, and it makes lighting a challenge...

You could try the tighter crop, I'm not feeling it, not sure why. Oddly, the more I crop, the more it seems like studio shot with a plain gray background, it may just be me. Certainly see what you can do.

I like the hardware detail, the coiled wire, stuff like that, hard to keep that in where it makes sense as a composition.

Looking at it, it looks incomplete, like there is more there, but is being hidden possibly due to a flaw, and I just don't like it as much. I think the suggestion of being a little more right is better, just far enough to show more, but not enough so as to keep the shadows hidden. But, I think I am content with waiting a few months to re-shoot, the winter weather can stay away for a while...

Hopefully for your sanity it will be longer than just a few months!

I love that this has been on appeal since Wednesday and it has still not been looked at...

Sometimes an appeal can take a very long time. There are only two people who can look at appeals and if one of them made the original decision, only one person who can decide. If that person is away for any reason (vacation say) you can easily wait for their entire vacation.

Finally a decision: Accepted.

Only 173 views over 2 days, oh well... Jean Marc thought it was good enough to add to one of his albums, which is pretty cool...
