Default Some black and white

Hi guys,

I keep working on b&w. I did some recently, that were rejected (one accepted in the data base). Here are links to them. Let me know your feeling about them and any point you see I could improve.

(Note : this is not a "why is my pic rejected and what can I do to make it on the databe" post but a request for comment about my work).

OK, I'll offer an opinion. There is not enough tonal range (from black to white). Most greys seem to be mid-range.
I also noticed the foreground is soft: some of the grass is blurry. I think it is more noticeable on B&W as patterns receive more emphasis.

BTW here is my B&W rejection http://www.railpictures.net/viewreje...key=1259985354
I tried for a glint, but it was too bright, so I went for a B&W because of the dark and light range.
