Default Freight cars and creative photography

Hello,

When François Iliovici and I started the Images & Trains Project, one of our goal was to promote creativity and originality on Railroad Photography. Maybe not around the globe but at least in France. It has been three years now since we started this adventure. This November is a bit special to us. In fact the whole month is dedicated to one subject : Freight cars!

Yes, freight cars. At first this sounds not really exciting but the challenge was good: how to do pictures of such a theme … in a creative way? We asked this question to members of the I&T Project but also to well known photographers. Today, we are happy to announce that we got answers and we're publishing them this November.

This event is called “It's all about Freight Cars”. You can already discover two contributions from French photographers Christophe Lauer and François Iliovici. Christophe brings us the vision from a train driver and François suggests us a photo-essay about the relics of a train crash in Sweden. Around a dozen of contributions will illustrate this month theme. So you won't really find one answer to our initial questions but plenty of visions. It may inspire you for future photo work or railfan trip.

So have a look this month at http://www.images-trains.net/v3/
