Way too much uninteresting foreground and a cut off train.

Loose a bunch of foreground, by pass the cut off train issue by instead focusing on a set of engines that are not cut off and viola!

Now - this should work for RP resolution, but I'll bet a 36 Megapixel camera doesn't sound all that crazy anymore, eh?

'Course, you could always try the same crop on Friday and see what happens.

Did this before I looked at Mitch's version.

And I would clone out that white plastic bag caught on the bush.

Thanks, Gents - I have something similar to your suggestions in the queue now. Fingers crossed.

Hit for grain/noise - needed to use a bigger lens.

Getting out of the car and walking works to, unless there was a fence in front of you.

And if there was a fence, then I would inquire as to why you did not include it in your composition, because apparently fences can be artful.

I was out of the car. I just picked the wrong lens.

This was going to be last shot of the day - and sometimes your mind doesn't work as well at that point (heck, sometimes my mind doesn't work that well the whole day).

Here's the rejection - if it matters.

Only thing I can think is to go wider?

But to be honest - I'm done - I failed on this one for all the reasons already mentioned.
