Default Trains on Jeopardy

I was just watching Jeopardy and was shocked to see the final Jeopardy subject was trains. The answer was these two cities can be travelled to in 48 hours on the world's highest railroad. Anyone know the question?

Well, if it was a new or recently recorded show, it would refer to the new railroad in China to Tibet. So one city would be Lhasa. If it was an older, rerun show, it would be a city (town, really) in Peru, I think. Not sure what the second city would be, unless it means starting in Bejing and ending up in Lhasa.

Someone posted some terrific shots of that railway here at RP. Here's one

I believe it was a new show, as they said it was as of 2006. And I believe you're right. Now, what's the other city?

I recall one of Asger's other captions said something like Xiping. You may want to go through his other pix or do a web search to learn about the new line.

Impressive that it made Jeopardy!

The line is operated with a new set of GE locomotives, as I recall.

Believe it or not, a few months ago one of the categories on the show was, of all things, tourist railroads and museums in the States. Needless to say, I answered each of the questions correctly before any of the contestants did.

Perhaps, after all of these years, they are finally running out of categories that most people will be familiar with!
