Kilroy and Starnes can do whatever they want, it's there website. There are plenty of other options out there.

They run jetphotos.net anyway, not "a"irliners.net.

A.net has a "AAA" Website, myaviation.net, for photos not quite good enough to make the cut in the big leagues.

What a hypocrite you are Mr. Sell.

How can you espouse such views on this Site while you are one of Voldemort's most ardent followers, and most prolific posters on his Facebook page.

You can't play both sides of the fence.

Don't you know that there are no secrets on the Internet?

So by being on TWIRPs means I am a hardcore hater of RP?

No, it's what you post on there. I don't care what you like/don't like, but you are a shining example of hypocrisy.

No I didn't.

There's a big difference between saying "We're not perfect, and we know that there's always room for improvement" (which is the same thing I'd tell anyone) and what you claim I said.

To address the point of the thread, it looks like opening up a feature which would allow viewers to honestly (either positively or otherwise) provide feedback in an "un-screened" manner wasn't my wisest idea ever. I had concerns from the outset, but hoped people would use the rating system as intended. Obviously that was too much to expect.

To that point, the other RP staff and I are all on the same page that the ratings system should be removed. As Mitch and others pointed out, there are still numerous other ways to show appreciation for shots that stand out.

I do believe the ratings system could have been a useful tool if used as intended, but in today's age of internet anonymity, and a culture where so many feel the need to put others down as a way to somehow prop themselves up, it was anything but.

Coming into this thread late in the game, but someone mentioned making it a logged in feature???

Don't you have certain IPAs banned from logging in?

I know you're a nice guy in person but I can't blame the others on this board for calling you a hypocrite. Some of the things I've seen you write on Facebook in the past and some of the things you are claiming here simply don't add up. It doesn't help your cause that you post photos and messages on RP under an anonymous name and to Facebook under your real name. It makes it look like you're hiding something. So where exactly do you stand, Matt?

And yes, you are entitled to your opinion, but that is all it is.

Lightbulb Der Voldemort.

Daniel Valentine Individuals such as El Roco can hide inside the confines of RP.net and attack people in a way that should, and would, get them thrown off other reputable discussion sites.

What are you talking about?

Here is what you left on my photo at "my" Flickr page:

West Slope Railfan

El Roco writes: "What a hypocrite you are Mr. Sell."

And that coming from someone who plays with action figures and thinks WWE wrestling is real.

ROFLMAO!!!!!!!

West Slope Railfan

El Roco also writes: "You can't play both sides of the fence."
RP has a fence around it? Since when?

ROFLMAO!!!!!

http://www.flickr.com/photos/36722129@N06/7175511691/

And what is this all about?

Thinks "WWE wrestling is real[.]"

What do I care about WWE?

Why would you even say that?

Really Daniel, are you off your meds, because you are screaming at the pigeons in the park again.

True, but sad, IMO. Understand the need to remove the feature, and move on.

Now, that stars are gone, how about adding some sort of notification when someone adds a photo to an album?

But you won't be able to read any of the posts since Voldemort has set it to "closed."
However, if you want a really fun read, check out that nuts facebook...Hateful little critter, isn't he? I could not stand to be around someone that negative. Might get a hold of Glade, I think this boy's poo smells like roses...at least he seems to think so.

Noticed the star rating disappeared so I thought I'd see what was going on. Damn! More drama than TNT! Glad to see the star rating gone...not that I really cared but maybe it will keep the crazies a little calmer!

Now back to looking at pictures...
