Unhappy Help - unlevel horizon

When this photo was taken, it was at a point 3 miles southeast of Langdon, ND, heading northwest, which is actually a slight downgrade, which is evident on a topographical map. I submitted the photo and it was hit for unlevel horizon. The appeal was also rejected. I'm not quite sure what to do next. Advice?

TIA

Your photo is leaning down to the left corner. It might be that the gradient is down towards that grade, but because there is nothing in the photo to inicate that it just looks unlevel. Put it in your editing software and turn on the the grid lines to see when its level.

I'd love to take your advice. If only I had a photo editor that would properly do that.

Would someone who does have one mind helping out? Thanks!

SOZ, I should have been more specific. The photo editor doesn't rotate images properly. The whole photo turns white.

You can't upload a photo like that?

I'm not aware of what good uploading a blank white image would do.

Try www.irfanview.com
It's fun, it's free, and it does arbitrary rotations.

Thanks for the idea, I'm checking it out now.

EDIT: It shows up as being $3.99. I don't know where the free version is. Do you have a direct link to that?

3.99 looks to be the version number, not the price. Here's a download site I clicked through to from the irfanview site:

It's actually being reworked at this time, in fact. I'm trying to get rid of that blurryness.

Glad you got it worked out, Your original photo only seemed rotated about .4-5 to the left. I had a similar problem this morning trying to determine the proper rotation of a shot I submitted, luckily I got it right.

You called it right on there, Dave. I rotated it .5 degrees and it looks good. Another new copy (without as much blurryness) is now in the queue.

~Louis

EDIT: Dave, nice shot, good rotation. The only thing I noticed, I think the train ID and rail location are reversed (ID shows as Needles Sub which is a location and location shows as CP 7245 which is a train ID, I believe)

Thanks for the help in this thread... but I have to ask, why was it rated only 1 star? A bit interesting...
